How to build Self-Efficacy
Part [2/2]
In our previous post, we spoke about how mastery is a result of practice, not just methods. Building and practicing a skill until one achieves mastery in it requires a degree of Self Efficacy.
Self-efficacy is the belief in one's ability to effectively accomplish tasks and achieve goals.
But, how does one build Self Efficacy?
Self-efficacy requires one to take ownership of self and the situation by taking the following steps:
1] Self-Evaluation - Asking yourself: What part of me calls for change?
2]Internal Locus of Control - I can do something about it.
3] Drive - I act to improve the situation.
4] Experimentation - I try newer ways to improvise
5] Persistence - I keep going despite challenges.
6] Learning - I reflect on what is working and what is not.
7] Integration - I do it repeatedly enough to make it a part of my pattern
