Ensuring the Core Stays Strong

For a few days now there has been this chair that has been lying at our office. One of the legs of the chair is broken, so instead of 4, there are only 3 legs.

It is a subtle reminder that appearances might be deceiving. From afar, it seems intact, but once you sit on it, you’re found on the floor :)

Every organisation, much like that chair, stands on core pillars. These pillars are the foundation, the essence of what keeps the organisation upright. In our work, Organizational Development (OD) revolves around safeguarding and enhancing these pillars.

Sure, we might change the seat cover or tighten a few screws, but we tread carefully when it comes to those core pillars. Any alteration risks the whole system collapsing.

Our guiding principle? Always leave the system better than what it was.

In a world of constant change, let's remember to preserve what truly holds us together.
