Why?

Lately, the books that I have been reading are all non-fiction or autobiographies.

I have been naturally inclined towards reading books that have downright solutions written in them. Books that mainly talk about the 'what' and 'how' aspects of different situations and stories.

"How to form effective habits that stick..."
"What are the 10 most valuable skills required in the coming decade..."
and so on

In search of understanding the 'what' and 'how' angles of things, I somewhere couldn't find the 'why?'

‘Why’ is something very personal to one’s own beliefs, values and principles. More importantly, it depends on our heart’s voice.

One book that always helps me turn inward and look at things from the inside out is 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle. The present moment is all we have and I have learnt two ways to remain in it.

1] To observe things around you, and bring yourself back to the present moment and
2] To observe your thoughts and feelings. Basically, adopting the 'observer's mindset' both internally and externally.

In a way, it has helped me answer the 'why?' angle of things. The answer to that question is the primary driver for every soul.

Every time I read this book, it gives me a fresh perspective on life. And then I ask...
