Leadership vs Team Membership 🥇
There are millions of dollars spent on Leadership development.
And rarely any initiatives on teams, on how to become an effective team member. At the most, there are some team building programs with some 'fun and bonding activities'.
But, is that enough and does it create an impact?
Being a team member is not a privileged or entitled position. It doesn’t excuse oneself of accountability. It doesn’t allow one to dump incompletions and failures on the leader. It doesn’t require anyone to give up their power.
Team membership is as crucial as leadership. It is laid on the foundations of trust, contribution, ownership and commitment.
It is time for organisations to look for deeper experiences to build an effective team.
