Have you ever found yourself in an ethical dilemma? ⚖️

Like the one in a supermarket queue.

Here's the scenario: Imagine that you're waiting patiently in line when someone lets an elderly person cut ahead of you. Your mind races. You say to yourself:

"This is so unfair, I've been waiting in line for ages! The line isn't even that long! They could have waited and I'm already running late, and I have guests that are coming over."

But on the other side, the person who allowed the elderly person to join the queue midway might be thinking, "It's just one person, and he seemed like he could use a little help from waiting longer here. At the same time, I understand that there are others, but it felt more important to assist them."

There’s no definitive right or wrong here. Both individuals have valid reasons for their perspectives.

Chances are, you've encountered similar situations in your life. Sometimes you've been like the former person, and other times, you've leaned towards the latter.

Life often presents us with such ethical dilemmas, and sometimes it's challenging to navigate them. These dilemmas can leave us feeling uncertain and can even affect our relationships with those around us.

This is why it's essential to identify our ethics- those that we hold at our core and those that might be flexible when circumstances demand it.

Having a personal "gold card" helps check your ethical compatibility and interact more seamlessly with others.

As an initial step towards this predicament, the research team at ARC is launching a first-of-its-kind survey on Ethics!
