Freedom is a Conundrum of Esoterica 🌅

Freedom is glorified. But whose freedom is it anyway?

If you say a "Nation's Freedom", then let's try exploring what a nation is. A nation is a concept that is needed to protect cultural identity, better governance, and lesser dependence. Above all, it is also a concept to hoard power and be more competitive with other nations. And then, within a nation, there are states which do the same thing. And within a state, there are communities that try to outcast each other.

Nations created borders and called themselves free. And then there are nations where citizens must be cautious to speak their minds. Some made unfair laws, allowed inequitable lobbies, and even went to the extent of waging wars on other's sovereign lands.

Like Rabindranath Tagore once wrote, "Where the mind is without fear, And the head is held high.." It is high time we differentiate between 'freedom of state' and 'state of freedom.'

A nation is a free state only when its people are in a state of freedom.
