Essence of Executive Coaching in Life

My Experience of Parking Lot-related Coaching Sessions- Aaryan (Branding at ARC)

Since a year now, I park my scooter in the same spot before stepping into work every morning. It’s a small ritual, almost automatic. But recently, this act took a deeper meaning.

In a coaching session with The Coaching Lighthouse, Pragati introduced us to the idea of a mental parking lot.

A space where one parks their thoughts, feelings and emotions before stepping into any space that requires presence and intention.

In between a coaching session yesterday, she invited us to pause and jot down the things we were carrying.

An unfinished conversation. A task that is waiting. A passing worry.

Not to solve them. Just to acknowledge them and set them aside temporarily. Like putting your scooter on its stand before entering the building.

Allowing me to be fully present in what I am doing.

In the here and now.

And that is the Essence of Coaching and life as well :)
